Dr. Kabir Mody

Dr. Kabir Mody was inspired to become a doctor and go into cancer medicine after the death of his best friend from cancer at the age of six. He served as an academic oncologist at Mayo Clinic focused on GI oncology, in particular cancers of the liver and the pancreas. While at Mayo Clinic Florida he led the GI Oncology program, served as Vice-Chair of the Division of Hematology and Oncology, authored numerous scientific papers and book chapters, and led numerous clinical trials seeking to improve the care of patients with these devastating cancers. He left Mayo clinic in 2022 and since then has led clinical development in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry in the field of cancer vaccines, currently at Moderna. He lives in Jacksonville, FL with his wife of 16 years, daughter Grace and son Nicholas. He is an avid tennis player, lover of world travel, and aviation enthusiast.
